Welcome to ASPE Chapter 6!

We have a fantastic year ahead with many events and opportunities to participate, learn and grow as individual estimators and as a chapter. Our monthly meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month at Aunt Chilada’s, located at 7330 N. Dreamy Draw Dr. Phoenix, AZ from 4 pm to 6:30 pm. You can find all of our scheduled meetings for the year on our events calendar. At each meeting, we read and discuss one of our 9 ASPE Cannons of Ethics. It is always educational, with good food, great company, and an interesting guest presenter. It's worth more than the price of attendance for sure! So mark your calendar with all of our 2nd Tuesday meetings and join us. We want your company and your help finishing all the delicious Mexican food each month!

We will be meeting at Top Golf in Scottsdale on May 7th. This event is going to be a lot of fun and a great opportunity to get to know fellow ASPE members.

The Denver Chapter is hosting the NW/SW Regional meeting on April 19th and 20th. The schedule for Friday and Saturday is full of educational presentations. The Denver chapter has put together a very worthwhile weekend of information and growth in the company of our fellow ASPE members from the western US. Regional events are where I’ve learned the most about ASPE and made great contacts, memories, and friendships over the years. Sign up and attend the Regional. You will be glad you did. This will be the only regional event being held this year.

Our biggest event of the year is the Construction Conditions Panel Discussion, where we have a panel discussion on what challenges we are facing in the market. The event will be hosted by our Event Sponsor Climatec at their training facility located at 2851 W Kathleen Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85053 from 11 am until 2 pm. Rebekah Morris with Arizona Builder’s Exchange will moderate a discussion with industry professionals and experts (see our events page for participants). It is always interesting and informative. This is OUR event, and Rebekah is committed to helping us make it stellar. So sign up now. Also, there are several levels of sponsorships available. Consider sponsoring this event!

There should be at least one opportunity to participate in an 11th Hour Bid Day Simulation with one or more of the Universities. Stay tuned for dates and make time to work with the students and show them the estimating side of construction. They don’t get much exposure in school to the critical role estimating has in the construction process.

Get involved! We need your help planning programs and events. We need help on the membership committee as well as other committees. Consider attending one of our monthly Teams Board meetings and finding a committee to help lend a hand in making Chapter 6 amazing! Contact me or any of the board members for opportunities.

The ASPE National Summit is in Cincinnati, Ohio this September. We have an opportunity to build Chapter 6 as well as to stand out as one of the strongest chapters in the Society. Make plans to attend. See the ASPE National website for details.
